On this call the Center for the Transformation of Work announced the Trusted Platform Partner Program. The survey is designed to offer freelance platforms incredibly valuable and confidential client feedback, and enable clients the opportunity to provide freelance platform partners with an honest and professional assessment of their experience. John Healy and Jon Younger described and discussed the program, as well as took feedback and questions from the community.

00:29:33 CTW: 🙌 Wazoku!
00:32:31 John Healy: Great to hear @Henry!!
00:33:54 John Healy: AMEN to that!!
00:34:13 Bondili, Balaji: Will CTW invest in marketing the certification as a standard? How would clients know that they should trust that certification?
00:34:30 Link: Well said Jon. I would add though that the future of Freelance marketplaces should include everyone. There are so many opportunities for seasoned older adults that have wisdom to share too. There is a place here for them as well
00:34:30 John Healy: Absolutely @Balaji!
00:35:25 Ashley, UntapSocial: +1 Jon Younger **
00:35:41 Mike Minett: sorry – poor wifi my side – will have to say newbie ‘hello’ next time… for now ‘Hi & if I can ever help you in any way just shout’ – cheers – Mike https://www.linkedin.com/in/mikeminett/
00:37:44 Link: @Balaji, I can only speak from the advocacy side of this. With policy etc, I believe that taking a summation of best practices in the industry. Since nobody exists that has the perfect accreditation but we have our finger on the pulse on industry trends; I believe we have what it takes to lead the way for standard setting
00:39:10 Bondili, Balaji: I totally agree that community does. But, clients need to know that CTW exists and they CTW so that the badge reduces customer acquisition cost and time.
00:39:22 Steve Rader: Love this Jon!
00:39:57 Bondili, Balaji: they *trust CTW
00:41:01 Link: I totally agree Balaji. There will need to be some spend on marketing and sharing.
00:41:57 Jon Younger: I am so excited about working with all of you to establish the TP3 (trusted platform partner) initiative!
00:43:17 Barry Matthews: We plan to increase brand awareness of CTW significantly next year and will promote the TP3 as part of that
00:45:58 Isaiah Trotter: Any idea what the cost will be once the funding dries up?
00:46:04 Sujith Kattathara Bhaskaran: Hi Jon/ John, My platform is not yet ready for the survey – We are just about to launch the product. You had mentioned that initially this would be free to submit. How long would this freebee be available?
00:46:21 Link: Part of “Advocacy” in all this is advocacy’s role in community building. It’s going to be the voice of the collective of workers speaking up about the challenges out there. We will need to know what workers have to say about the future of work. CTW Advocacy team consists of approx. 10 leaders who all have their finger on the pulse. This is a great step forward to CTW and for the future of work…there needs to be a set of best practices.
00:47:51 jian pang: What kind of platform or CTW that opens or invites the market to the trusted state?
00:47:53 Todd Brous: Is the survey live?
00:50:58 Todd Brous: (Can some of the questions be changed? Some of them seemed to be unclear and might be a little biased.)
00:51:37 Bondili, Balaji: `Is TopTal platform? Is a regular staffing provider eligible? They both operate similarly
00:52:56 CTW: It’s live, but working with each platform directly to give the URL to their clients.
00:53:01 jian pang: What kind of guid line for the cloud security that was required for CTW to get the evaluation for the badge procession?
00:53:16 Ana Kramarenko: Sometimes the clients are too busy to leave reviews.. So it might be challenging to get 10
00:54:12 CTW: Todd- we are open to all comments, suggestions and make changes if necessary.
00:54:25 jian pang: +1 link. Trends!
00:54:37 Ashley, UntapSocial: +1 Link
00:54:55 Todd Brous: @Brian: I’m here for you.
@Link: +1 ❤️
00:55:04 Isaiah Trotter: I would say that it’s helpful to come down hard on some requirements, otherwise it waters down the credibility.
00:56:34 Henry Crabtree – Wazoku: when it comes to later stages and open talent members getting the survey, I’m sure our community team would jump at the chance to help out by putting them to members of the former InnoCentive community, the Wazoku Crowd
00:57:20 Link: Henry Excellent! We will hold you to it 🙂
00:57:35 Jon Younger: Re Todd’s question, we’ve gotten feedback from a great many people in constructing these questions.
00:58:21 jian pang: But is CTW is evaluating the other’s platform, then what kind necessaries ware needed? Are you mostly focus on the StartUps?
00:59:51 Link: Balaji +1
01:01:41 Link: Maybe a survey of the demographics- 4or5 questions at the front: position, time with company, how many staff they lead, department etc
01:01:53 Jeanene Kroetch: Hi Everyone! Thought some of you might be interested in the upcoming Overflow event on book authorship. “Thinking about how writing a book could help/hinder your career as a freelancer?” We are featuring three authors who have arrived at book publication in very different ways and in very different areas. Their stories are fascinating and these authors are fonts of information. Everyone’s welcome to join us for a 1 hour chat next Tuesday, Nov 8th at 12 EST https://lnkd.in/g2iv8yky
01:03:11 Rhonda Lehman Davenport: Do any of the questions ask about “systemic thinking and true sustainabilty green” approaches as part of the Trust badge?
01:04:36 Link: Good question. I think there is one question about environmental impact
01:04:36 Bondili, Balaji: Connecting this to supplier diversity and the S of the ESG, will make the clients more compelled to provide feedback.
01:05:40 Link: ESG will be considered as a set of practices that are widely used; however, ESG cannot be applied in every case and every platform
01:06:56 Rhonda Lehman Davenport: Yes, D.E.I.B., environmental and systems thinking are vital parts of any assessment. Thank you.
01:07:00 Todd Brous: (Starbucks gift cards….)
01:07:59 Mark Hannant: Good job John and Jon! Thanks for sharing
01:08:09 Bryan Pena: Great stuff guys. Looking forward to the results!
