00:41:47 Chris “LINK” Duarte: Culture, language barriers,
00:42:08 Chris “LINK” Duarte: defining vocabulary is not universal
00:46:05 Arthur Ransier: I’m so glad you’re critical of that data point! I feel the same way about organizations who claim to have effective strategic workforce planning — yet make such small investments in L&D and claim, year-after-year for the last decade, that a “talent shortage” is their number one challenge
00:46:38 John Healy: @Robin…do you see the systems/tools coming together to maker for more effective orchestration?
00:53:41 Chris “LINK” Duarte: How and where is “people culture” considered in this model?
00:58:53 Chris “LINK” Duarte: Do all the different departments like working together? They used to exist in silos and “do not play well with others”, has their desire to have collaboration increased?
00:59:45 Dyan Finkhousen: Our shift was triggered shortly after launching the Digital Transformation effort – recognizing the market demanded a different operating model. We stepped back and looked at the entire value creation lifecycle from strategy to commercialization – put all the potential value creators (digital, business and human) on the table as options, and re-evaluated all the components of our operating model, removing outdated assumptions and updating outdated policies and procedures. Very intentional redesign / expansion of the operating model. Required transforming mindsets first, then methodology.
00:59:58 Chuck Hamilton: It seems like we are mostly talking about leading organizations welcoming change. Thos e companies needing to change to grow their business. What about the those companies that don’t get the change coming? E.g. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-06-01/musk-s-tesla-ultimatum-return-to-office-or-work-somewhere-else?srnd=premium-europe&sref=Jr3EYbh2 How do we speak to these companies?
01:00:02 John Healy: good question @Link….I suspect that the need to collaborate – recognized or demanded – is one of the “triggers” Balaji asked about
01:02:02 Chris “LINK” Duarte: Good points made above. I would like to hear about what some of the best practices you all are using to enhance and improve the ways that leaders are getting the various departments to communicate with one another willingly. What are some of the best practices that enhances engagement in coworking
01:03:00 Chris “LINK” Duarte: @Dan! Keep coming! Welcome to the fam!
01:03:17 Kirolos George: Looking forward to connect with you 🙂

01:05:01 Dan Beck (Utmost): Well done Robin and Jeff. Super exciting
01:05:13 Glen Hodgson: Need to jump off at the top of the hour: thanks all!
01:05:44 Arthur Ransier: This dialogue reminds me of “jobs-to-be-done theory”…. maybe we should call it “work-to-be-done theory”
01:05:58 John Healy: +1 Arthur
01:06:25 Chris “LINK” Duarte: that list is sooo long Arthur
01:06:28 Jeff Schwartz: +1 Arthur. Work to be done… who/what can do it!
01:06:31 Mafé Rabino: How important is “transparency” in orchestrating workforce ecosystem?
01:06:56 Arthur Ransier: Does anybody know Professor Clayton at HBS? Does he have a perspective on open innovation?
01:07:17 Mafé Rabino: Yes! @Athur, great man.
01:07:29 Arthur Ransier: did* I’m sorry
01:07:34 Arthur Ransier: I didn’t realize he passed away :'(
01:07:52 Mafé Rabino: yes awhile back
01:09:10 Eric Williams: There is definitely a hurdle to clear in defining who is truly going to be the trusted and impartial choreographer leading integrated strategies. Define the journey, lead the journey, measure the journey.
01:09:19 Bryan Pena: Great stuff guys!
01:09:53 Todd Brous | distillet: Thanks!
